ATIB hooklifts appear on Isle of Man
The 1st ATIB hooklift to enter service on the Isle of Man has been supplied to Jon Bennet of B&C Transport.
For maximum flexibility Jon specified an AT10 hooklift so the vehicle can carry out convential
tipping duties. The hooklift was fitted to a new MAN 18-240 18ton chassis which was also fitted with a
Palfinger hydraulic crane piped from grab operation. For the movement of small items of plant, Jon specified
a 17'0" plant carrying body to complement the 14'0" dropside. The bodies were constructed by
sister company Skip Units Ltd.
Shallcross chooses ATIB Lift
Shallcross Recycling based at Pott Shrigley near Macclesfield have recently added a new AT18
hooklift to their fleet. Supplied on a DAF CF85-360 6x4 drawbar chassis, the vehicle will be used
for paper and plastics collections.
Another ATIB for Bodens
Pleased with the 1st ATIB AT18, which was put into service 12 months ago, an ATIB AT18 was chosen as
the hooklift for the latest Scania R480 6x4 drawbar chassis now in operation with Bodens.
Elsa Waste Paper opt for ATIB Lift
This new Scania R420 6x2 drawbar unit has been put into operation by Elsa Waste Paper of Stockport,
to collect and deliver compactor skips. Operated with a tandem axle drawbar trailer the combination has
been engineered to handle both hooklift containers and cablelift containers, fitted with a bail bar,
so they can be operated by both types of lift equipment currently in service with this operation.
ATIB hooklifts for trailer operation
Moss Bay Metals of Workington in Cumbria have added their first hooklifter to their fleet. An AT25
hooklift mounted on a tri-axle semi-trailer has been supplied by Truck Specialists Ltd. By opting
for a semi-trailer the operater can utilise the tractor units he operates which work with his bulk
tipping semi-trailer. Cab controls are fitted with to his tractor units for hooklift operation.
Ramshorn Group acquires Truck Specialists Ltd
Ramshorn Group, the UK's largest independent supplier of waste containers
and compactors, has completed the acquisition of Northwhich-based Truck Specialists
Limited, suppliers of hooklifts and telescopic arm skiploaders.
Founded by David Diack in 2002, Truck Specialists offers the complete range of
hooklifts and telescopic arm loaders manufactured by ATIB of Brescia, Italy,
together with sheeting systems, loadcells and drawbar attachments. The company
offers rental and contract hire in addition to selling both new and used hooklifts and
skiploaders.

Approved to ISO 9001:2000, Skip Units, Randalls Fabrications and Castle Containers manufacture a
complete range of different capacities, lengths and heights of open and roofed RoRo containers to
customers' requirements. The range from lightweight upright containers for collection of paper and
cardboard, to heavy-duty upright containers for scrap metal, sand and gravel. Containers are
manufactured in capacities from 2 to 50 cubic metres (4 to 65 cubic yards) and can be fitted with
all major types of hook, cable and chain lifting equipment, as well as Skip Uints' own design of
safety locking gear.
Truck Specialists go Recycling 
To provide a service to households where access is difficult with their 18ton recycling
vehicles, Ellesmere Port & Neston B.C. have added 'Little Rita' to their recycling fleet
Based on a Mitsubishi Canter 7.5 tonne chassis fitted with stillages capable of collecting up to 2.5 tonnes of paper, glass, cans and plastic; the Mitsubishi was selected for its good payload potential and the ability to provide a low body height to assist with the discharge of the recycling boxes.
Stralis Tractor Units added to Contract Fleet 
Two new high specification Iveco Stralis AS440S43TXP 6 x 2 tractor units have entered the fleet of J.H.Davies (Haulage) Ltd of Widnes, Cheshire
An established Iveco operator, the Stralis 'Active Space' models feature the modular cab concept allowing the bottom bunk to be used as a table during the working day and are fitted with air-conditioning, in-cab fridge, electric windows and mirrors, spotlamps and Eurotronic gearboxes as standard equipment.
Waste Away Chooses ATIB SLT13 Telescopic 
Leeds based skip hire operator waste away have chosed a DAF LF55 fitted with ATIB SLT13 as their first Telescopic Arm Skiploader.
With 10tonne lift capacity when arms are fully extended and a short rear overhang the SLT13 can handle a variety of skip sizes from 4 cu.yds - 18 cu.yds and with no cross-bar has the ability to put 'Skip in Skip' for collections & deliveries.
The DAF joins a fleet of 4 skiploaders currently in service witht this expanding operator.
Truck Specialists are Bodying Stock Chassis to Improve Availability for Customers

ATIB Hookloader fitted to first MAN fitted with AS Tronic Gearbox
Arden Woodshavings have added a new MAN TGA26-390 6 x 2 drawbar chassis for the collection of woodshavings fitted with ATIB AT18/56 hooklift equipment.
Joining a fleet of MAN & Scania artic and drawbar vehicles, the latest unit geatures a ZF AS Tronic gearbox and is the first hooklift fitted to a rigid chassis by Truck Specialists equipped with an AS Tronic Computer controlled gearbox.
